Personal Information Protection Policy

Stat Agent (hereinafter, “we” or “our organization”) provides statistical analysis, analytical support, and consulting services with the aim of creating new value. Because we receive personal information from clients in connection with our services, we recognize the protection of personal information as an important social responsibility. Our officers and employees comply with applicable laws and regulations concerning personal information protection, national guidelines, and other relevant standards.
1. With regard to personal information protection, we recognize risks such as unauthorized access, loss, destruction, alteration, and leakage of personal information and take necessary preventive and corrective measures. We also establish and implement standards, rules, and procedures for the appropriate handling and operation of personal information.
2. Organizational Activities for Personal Information Protection. To put this basic policy into practice, we undertake the following activities.
(1) Our officers and employees comply with laws and regulations concerning personal information, national guidelines, and other relevant standards.
(2) We appoint a person responsible for personal information protection and grant that person the authority and responsibility necessary to implement and operate our personal information protection program.
(3) We appoint an internal audit officer for personal information protection and conduct internal audits of practices and operations concerning personal information protection.
(4) We request cooperation from our corporate and individual business partners in protecting personal information.
(5) We review our personal information protection practices as appropriate and continuously improve them.
3. Handling of Personal Information — (1) Respect for Individual Rights
We respect individuals' rights concerning personal information. When a person requests disclosure, correction, deletion, suspension of use, or submits a complaint or consultation concerning their own personal information, we respond within a reasonable period and to a reasonable extent.
(2) Collection, Use, and Provision of Personal Information
When obtaining, using, or providing personal information, we clearly explain the purpose of use and whether the information will be provided to third parties, obtain consent, use the information within the stated purpose, and take measures to prevent use beyond that purpose.
(3) Implementation of Security Measures

Handling of Personal Information

Stat Agent (hereinafter, “we” or “our organization”) respects the privacy of persons using our analysis-outsourcing services (hereinafter, “clients”) and takes great care in managing clients' personal information.

1. Personal Information. “Personal information” means information such as an individual's name, date of birth, age, sex, address, telephone number, family composition, hobbies, preferences, email address, ID, IP address and timestamp, employer, affiliation, workplace address, workplace telephone number, credit-card number, bank-account number, information about websites visited, complaints, consultations, inquiries, and other information that can identify a specific individual either alone or in combination with one or more other items.
2. Purposes of Use of Personal Information. We use personal information obtained for the following purposes.
(1) To provide our services and information concerning those services.
(2) To bill clients using paid services.
(3) To contact clients, provide information about products and services, send gifts, and related purposes.
(4) To customize information, services, and advertising displayed on our service pages based on factors such as age, occupation, sex, hobbies, and preferences.
(5) To improve our services and develop new services.
(6) To prevent use of our services in violation of the applicable terms of use.
(7) To create statistical data related to our services in a form that does not identify individuals.

3. Restrictions Based on Purpose of Use. We handle personal information only to the extent necessary to achieve the stated purpose of use. If personal information is to be used beyond that scope, we obtain the person's prior consent, except in the following cases.

(2) When necessary to protect a person's life, body, or property and it is difficult to obtain the person's consent.

4. Acquisition of Information — 1. We obtain personal information through lawful and fair means and do not acquire it through improper methods contrary to the client's wishes.
2. If we obtain personal information indirectly, we confirm that the provider obtained the information appropriately from the individual concerned.
5. Notification of Purpose of Use at the Time of Acquisition. When obtaining personal information, we notify or publicly announce the purpose of use in advance. If the purpose of use changes, we notify or publicly announce the change and obtain consent as required.
6. Appropriate Protection of Personal Information. We take appropriate measures to keep clients' personal information accurate and up to date and manage it appropriately and securely.
7. Supervision of Contractors. We may outsource the handling of personal information. In such cases, we execute necessary agreements concerning the entrustment of personal information and appropriately supervise the contractor.
8. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties. As a general rule, we do not provide clients' personal information to third parties without the client's consent. We provide such information only after specifying the recipient and content and obtaining consent, except where otherwise permitted by law.
(1) When required by law.
(2) When necessary to protect a person's life, body, or property and it is difficult to obtain the person's consent.
(3) When particularly necessary to improve public health or promote the sound development of children and it is difficult to obtain the person's consent.

9. Disclosure of Personal Information. If a client requests disclosure of their own personal information, we respond without undue delay. However, we may decline to disclose all or part of the information in the following cases.

(2) When disclosure may significantly interfere with the proper conduct of our business.
(3) When disclosure may violate other laws or regulations.
10. Procedures for Correction, Suspension of Use, and Related Requests. If a client requests correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, or erasure of their own personal information, we verify the client's identity and respond within a reasonable period.
11. Disclaimer. We assume no responsibility for acquisition of personal information by third parties in the following cases.
(1) When the client themselves discloses personal information to a third party using a function of our service or another means.
(2) When an individual can be identified from information entered by the client on the service.
12. Use of Statistical Data. We may create statistical data based on clients' personal information after processing it so that individuals cannot be identified. We may use statistical data that does not identify individuals without restriction.
13. Use of Cookies and Related Technologies
1. When clients use our services or those of our partners, or view pages, we may automatically receive from their browser and record on our servers information such as cookie data, advertisements and pages viewed, and information about the usage environment.
2. We may use information concerning clients, such as sex, occupation, age, pages and advertisements viewed, time of use, method of use, and usage environment, in order to consider new services and make existing services and advertising more suitable for clients.
3. We may analyze information concerning clients or select participants for surveys in order to determine what types of advertising, information, and services would be effective for advertisers, information providers, and service providers. Analytical results will not contain information that identifies individuals.
14. Revisions to the Privacy Policy. We may revise all or part of this Privacy Policy. If significant changes are made, we will announce them on the website.
